Door to Door Sales Representative

What I liked

Consulting new people all the time. Gathering people skills while also working for this company that was apparently disconnected to the Medical Field. This is completely conducive to my patient care and public persona an this was like sharpening the saw and identifying my personal flaws. Oh and working commission based.

The hours and living quarters.

I loved the way Vivint treated me as an employee and encouraged me to gain skills for future jobs

I wish they had included me in other jobs rather than keeping me on the phones all day long. A little more variety would have helped me.

Customers react according to the way you react most times. Treat them all in a calm manner and if they do get worked up stay confident in helping them.

It was a challenging job where you got paid based off of your work ethic and effort put into the job. Depending on that was how much you could make, so there is no ceiling to the amount of money you can make.

What I wish was different

More breaks here and there because it is a constant grind Monday through Saturday.

Advice

Be prepared to work REALLY hard through long hours and hot days in the summer. Being a good people person is important. Being agreeable and having a positive attitude day in and day out.

I liked my managers and the sales team I was with. I liked being independent on my own skills and selling a product to a customer.

I wish the work schedule would have been flexible. There wasn’t a lot of free time to do what I wanted.
