I loved being in such a positive work atmosphere. As an intern, everyone was friendly and welcoming to me and sincerely made me feel that I was a part of the team. I learned a lot about the importance of communication, teamwork, and most importantly, having a positive attitude in the work place.
What I wish was different
In the few months that I worked there, I learned so much in such little time! Because the months went by so fast, I wish that I took the time each day to learn and ask more questions about the things that I did not know.
Advice
Make the most of each day that you are there. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Be open-minded and challenge yourself to try and learn new things. You are surrounded by a diverse team of colleagues who have years of experience; be curious, eager to learn, and excited to take on each opportunity during your internship. It will be such a fulfilling and great learning experience for you.

What I liked
My co-workers were amazing and super supportive; they helped me set up meetings with their connections and gave me lots of career advice.
What I wish was different
The work was rather slow, so I had a lot of down time. I wish the pace of work had been a little faster.
Advice
Plan early! If you want a summer internship in the government, you should start your search in early Fall.
