Towne Park

Valet

May 2022 - August 2023 • Tempe, AZ

What I liked

I enjoyed the flexibility available when it came to scheduling or rescheduling shifts. My boss was always easy to reach and very active in the employee group chat.

What I wish was different

I wish that my coworkers were held more accountable for unsatisfactory work, missing shifts, and other unprofessional behaviors.

Advice

Working as a Valet for this company was a smooth experience, but it did not offer opportunity to grow within the company, hence my departure.

Account Manager Intern (Financial Services)

September - December 2017 • Newport Beach, CA

What I liked

I liked learning about the financial structure of the Valet and hospitality industry. It provided me with an opportunity in a leadership position, and taught me the vital role of financial integrity and accountability.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been more involved in the politics of the company. This would have helped me increase my chances of a role more suited for my capabilities.

Advice

If I could share one thing it would be to work hard, learn what you can and always strive to improve. Be innovative in your solutions and strive to make friends with everyone. Politics weigh much more heavier than you think and sometimes it is better to let go of you pride and ego to get in someone good side.

What I liked

Flexible schedule to work around your school schedule. Full-time or part-time. Opportunities to grow and develop within the company. They have a great leadership training. Opportunity to network within the hospitality industry. Tips!

What I wish was different

More individual assessment on incoming staff. They need to be more proactive in getting the top talents to buy in to their management training/or waive management training if the skills sets for promotion are already there.

Advice

Learn the standards and always come ready with a smile.
