East Harlem Tutorial Program

About East Harlem Tutorial Program

East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP) began in 1958 as a children's reading group and has since grown into a multi-site after-school program for public school students and a network of charter schools focused on significantly increasing the college graduation rate in East Harlem. EHTP operates East Harlem Scholars Academies, a network of community-based Pre-K to 12 public charter schools. Between East Harlem Scholars Academies and our after-school programs, more than 15,000 East Harlem youth and their families have walked through our doors.

We challenge our students with a demanding academic program, and challenge ourselves to examine issues of racism and identity and model the learning and dialogue needed to ensure a more equitable future for young people of color.

For more information about EHTP's mission, model, and programs, please visit us at www.ehtp.org.

**Given the continuing growing number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases across the country we are postponing any in-person interviews and shifting to a virtual interview platform. We have made this decision due to the growing number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in New York City and State and across the nation.**
