Job Description

Position: Manager
Time requirement: 10-20 hours per week Monday through Sunday

Manager duties include but are not limited to:
-Opening facility (posting daily hours, unlocking door, disabling alarm and preparing facility for the day)
-welcoming families (sign in customers using Mind Body Software, collect and process payment)
-Answering any questions about WRTS and the services provided (face to face and on the phone)
observe and monitor children’s play activities, organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games, make sure children are taken care of and clean, support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concept
-Monitoring the order and cleanliness of the facility (clean up toys, sanitize toys, vacuum and mop floors, wipe down all surfaces, dust, clean bathrooms)
-Monitoring volunteers and lead them through assigned activities
-Assisting (break time) children in bathroom duties, change diapers or clothing
-Closing facility (cleaning and preparing the facility for the following work day, turning off lights, setting the alarm and locking the door)

Manager activities include the following:
-thinking creatively in order to develop games/activities to be played with children
-communicating to supervisor, other employees and volunteers in written and verbal form
-establishing interpersonal relationship with families
-receiving and retaining information about children in the facility
-performing general physical activities such as crawling, jumping, and hanging.

Manager skills should include but are not limited to:
-active listening
-social perceptiveness
-instructing, speaking, and monitoring of volunteers and children
-knowledge and experience working with children and adults with special needs

A manager should have the ability to communicate information and understand ideas presented, apply general facility rules to play with children, answer phone calls, flexibility to times of working including times of opening and closing.

Managers background should include:
-minimum of high school education
-experience working with children
-experience working with children with disabilities

Position Prerequisites:
-Minimum of 5 hours of volunteer time at WRTS (more hours may be required in order to train properly)
-CPR and first-aid certification
-background check
