Finance Intern

What I liked

I loved my internship at Lilly. I enjoyed the plethora of opportunities I was given to learn, network with other interns and employees at multiple levels, and provide meaningful work through the summer project I was given.

What I wish was different

I received a lot of constructive feedback at the end of my internship, but I would have liked to have more throughout my experience.

Advice

Half of this internship is networking within a large company. Put yourself out there and don't be afraid to ask questions and learn from others!

Quality Assurance Summer Replacement Student

June - August 2018 • Branchburg, NJ

What I liked

I was given the chance to work for the quality assurance team to ensure that pharmaceutical ingredients met regulatory standards. This opportunity gave me hands-on experience with state-of-the-art laboratory techniques and methods, as well as experience in organizing and analyzing laboratory data.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have had the chance to experience more areas of the company, not only at their Branchburg headquarters, but also in their research labs in Indianapolis and their other product manufacturing sites around the world.

Advice

Being from the midwestern United States, this job really took me out of my comfort zone both mentally and geographically. I think taking away my safety net really allowed me to fully engage myself in this new area and new employment. I would encourage anyone else to try the same.
